Back in H-Ville

I went to EMS 3 last night for a while. I talked with someone from Hughesville and went there about 0030. Was p shooting bull until about 0400. The folks that were there do not want me to leave. I explained my side of things.
Today I responded from fom home on two calls. One we scratched, no driver and the other was an MVA down in 29's first due. Our ambulance and squad beat them in!! 6 patients. Pretty good one.
I am going to crash for a while. I will respond from home if we get a call.

Back from the water

Well we had our time at Solomons. Our cottage this year had a great view of the river. Pretty sunsets. Spent some time at the pool and the beach. Visited Calvert Marine Museum. I think a good time was had by all. Joans friend and her husband are very nice.
Not much has been said about "the Talk" we had last week. We did not have much alone time and Joan just got home today, and I came home Wednesday night because I had to get back to work.

Life not so great

Well, Some of you know that my married life has not been in the best of shape. Well, we had a big talk tonight. Stay or go. Time to decide.
Work is hectic. Getting closer to the end of the year. But we are already getting some paperwork in so it might not be so bad.
I have put a few pounds back on so I need to be careful. I will have to be weighed in OCT even if I do not take the APFT. I need to get this back fixed so that I can pass an APFT so I can move on with my career.
Going to Solomons Island for a few days. Joan has a cottage there with a friend and her family. I will only be able to be there a few days because of work. I am not a water person anyway.

I did it

Those of you that have been following for a while, know I have been considering a move to a different station to Volunteer my EMT skills. I finally did it last night. I am technically a member of two stations right now. I actually got to bypass some of the BS at the new place because I was already an EMT cut loose as an OIC at the old station. This ought to get interesting once the old station finds out.
Working a lot late. SPC Matthews took last Thurs and Friday off. Over the weekend his father in law passed away. He is going to be out the rest of the week. More work for me!! So I am try to do it all. Typical me!!!

Weekend

Well, I did something I should not have done last night; I ran a call. Pager went off about 0250, Personal Injury accident. I listened and did not hear us getting on the air. Well, I head out and they go on the air as I am heading down the driveway. So I head to station anyway. They get put in service on scene because the other units dispatched got there and were handling the patient (who did not survive). About three minutes after unit back in station, we get toned out to same accident scene. Apparently one of the occupants had snuck away from the scene and came back. So I went on this one.
Been busy today around the house. Trimming some bushes and getting the trash and trimmings to the dump. I have to work in the basement too. Joan is on her way back from Leesburg with Kelsey. Kelsey spent the week at sleep away girl scout camp.

My friend going to Iraq is in an aviation unit. She works in operations. I am not sure where she is going to be and could not tell you if I did. Thanks for asking about her!!
