Long Week!

Monday I worked, then had to pull an overnight duty on Fort Myer. Left there at 0730. I was supposed to have a 1000 Dr appointment. IT got canceled, so I went to a 0900 meeting I thought I would not be able to attend. Then head to Washington Hospital Center to see a friend there. Could not reach her before I headed over. Showed up and she was in surgery. So I headed home (Getting lost along the way!). Made for a very long day. Wednesday I worked until about 1830, so got home around 2000. Friday, made plans to go see friend in WHC again. She was there this time. So once again, did not get home until almost 2000. Final got to the station about 2300. Nothing happened all night.
I know the ambulance has gone on at least one, maybe two calls already today. Of course they run like crazy when I am not there!!

Apologies!!

I apologize for so much time betwen entries. I can no longer access this site from work and I used to do this early in the day before I started work. I have been spending a lot of time at work lately since my boss got deployed. I am trying to pick up the slack.
I have been sleeping in on weekends at the fire house. I ran three calls last night.
I have a lot of stuff coming up soon. I have a combat life saver course in late Feb. The EMT National Registry exam on the 8th of Feb. The EMS Today convention in Baltimore in March, and the Ready.Gov Expo in DC in April.

I passed a diagnostic PT test this week. I knocked over a minute off my run time. I just need to get my weight down too. I only lost 2 lbs, but I droped 1.95% Body Fat. I am planning on making some great strides in my physical fitness this year. I need to get back to where I was in the spring of 2004.

What a Week!!

Well, I was asleep when the new year started. Good thing because I ended up going on a call about 0300! Our call was the 5th of the year in the county. Finally went back to work!
For a 4 day week it was awfully long! Getting up so early again was an issue, and then getting to work and doing PT. I had a lot to catch up on having been off for two weeks. This was also the last week of seeing my immediate supervisor. He is now on his way to OEF. (The one that is rarely in the news any more.)
Slept in two nights this weekend. Uninterrupted sleep on Friday(Woo-Hoo!) Last night We ran three calls. The first around midnight, not to big a deal. Then about 0500 we went on a mutual aid call to the next county over for a Motor vehicle accident. Arrived on scene and saw a really messed up car. First thought was that we were flying somebody out. We were told the occupants had walked to a nearby house (the home of one of the occupants, they got close to home before wiping out). We worked one patient and the other unit worked one. Both patients were flown out. WE had another call at about 0800, but we were cancelled enroute.
Now I am hanging with the kids while Joan spends time with her sister Sharon. Time to do laundry, polish my boots, do dishes, etc. I also have to run up to the station and do clean up. IF you sleep in you get clean up details around the bunkroom and locker room.
Early to bed to start another week!!
